Barbell bench press is a lot better at those than isolation exercises such as chest flies or cable crossovers. Additionally, there are several variations of bench presses that allow you to target specific areas of the chest such as incline or decline bench press.

- Push-ups: Push-ups can be done practically anywhere. There are several variations too such as wide-grip, narrow-grip, and decline push-ups.
- Dumbbell Bench Press: Dumbbell bench presses are similar to barbell bench presses. However, you do get a greater range of motion and the ability to target each arm independently.
- Cable Chest Fly: Cable Chest Fly is an isolation exercise that targets the pectoralis major muscles. All you need is cable attachments and an angle to provide challenge and resistance.
- Dips: Dips target the triceps, chest, and shoulders. Dips can be done with just bodyweight or you can add weight to your dips.
