Introduction
Renowned for their innovative and high-quality products, Bowflex has set a high standard for all their products. Does the Bowflex Treadmill 10 meet these expectations? Does it exceed expectations? The Bowflex Treadmill 10 is priced between the Bowflex Treadmill 22 and the Bowflex Treadmill BXT8J so it begs the question: Should I get this or spend a lil more and get the Treadmill 22 or save some money by picking up the Treadmill BXT8J.
How's the build quality?
Like the typical Bowflex product, it’s built to impress. The treadmill’s robust design makes it feel sturdy and reliable. It’s sleek and modern looking so it will be fantastic in any home gym. The screen is well secured onto the frame and looks great with the design. The screen looks fantastic but does it perform as well as it looks?
What's up with the touchscreen?
The touchscreen is the main attraction. The screen is 10 inches and is a breeze to use. It was obvious that Bowflex designed the user interface with user convenience in mind. The screen is fluid and has vibrant colors. It’s easy to change the incline level, the speed, or the workout. You can also connect your phone or tablet to the screen via bluetooth which is also easy to do.
Awesome, what features does it have?
Okay the important boring stuff first, the treadmill 10 has a 3.75 CHP motor that provides enough power and performance for everybody. The motor is quiet and smooth so you won’t have any issues while running. The Bowflex Treadmill 10 has a top speed of 12 mph and a max incline of 15%. Another important thing that we found pretty neat was the FlexSelect™ Cushioning System. This system allows you to choose if you want to be running on a more firm or softer surface to help replicate running outdoors. The Treadmill 10 comes with an AI-powered personalized coaching and adaptive workouts that are excellent. Now, should I buy this over the BXT8J and the 22?
How does this compare to the Treadmill 22 and the Treadmill BTX8J?
The Bowflex Treadmill 22 costs $2999 and the Treadmill BXT8J costs $1299. The Bowflex Treadmill 10 sits in between at $ $2299. The Bowflex Treadmill 22 has the 22-inch screen and has a steeper incline compared to the Treadmill 10. The Treadmill 22 and the Treadmill 10 are practically the same in size and features. The Treadmill BXT8J doesn’t have the touch screen like either the Treadmill 10 or the 22 and lacks features such as the ability to incline 5% down or the built in JRNY™ experience. The BXT8J is also 2 inches narrower compared to both the 22 and the 10. However, the difference is $1000 which is quite large and if you’re willing to get the older product, go for the BXT8J. The hard choice is between the Treadmill 10 and the Treadmill 22.
Final Verdict
The Bowflex Treadmill 10 lives up to the Bowflex name. It’s built well, looks great, and has unique features that Bowflex does best. However, it sits between the BXT8J and the top dog, the Treadmill 22. If you don’t care about the screen and just need the basics, go for the BXT8J. However, if you want something that does have the screen and all the top of the line features without costing your kidney, the Treadmill 10 is the best option. The Bowflex Treadmill 22 is truly fantastic but the $700 price difference really makes a difference. The only time we would recommend the Treadmill 22 over this is if you really want the best of the best.
