Introduction
The Bowflex C6 Bike is Bowflex’s cheapest new bike machine you can purchase. Despite that, it still comes with the Bowflex quality. The bike has several features such as its adjustability and resistance system. The Bowflex C6 is $800 cheaper than the Bowflex VeloCore, but are the sacrifices worth making?
What features does it have? Is it built well?
The Bowflex C6 Bike has several features. One of the standout features of the bike is its adjustability. The seat can be adjusted to be higher, lower, further forward, or backward further. The bike also has handlebars that are also adjustable unlike other bike machines. Another standout feature of the bike is the mount where a user can put a tablet on. This allows you to pull up a workout video to keep you moving whilst having a responsive screen. The Bowflex C6 also features a belt drive system that’s designed to be quieter and more durable than a traditional chain drive system. The final notable feature of the Bowflex C6 Bike is the build quality. The quality of the bike is outstanding. The frame of the bike is made from high-quality steel, allowing it to support up to 330 pounds of weight.
What's different about this and the VeloCore?
Ok, let’s get right into it. The Bowflex C6 Bike has a 6-inch LCD screen however the Bowflex VeloCore bike comes with either a 16-inch or 22-inch screen; a big difference in sizes for sure. Another big difference is that the VeloCore has the leaning feature however the C6 doesn’t. The Bowflex VeloCore has even more adjustability compared to the C6, and the seat on the VeloCore is more comfortable. However, a big difference is the price. The C6 costs $999 and the VeloCore costs $1799 for the 16-inch screen model.
Pros:
- Adjustable: The Bowflex C6 Bike is very adjustable, especially compared to several other bike machines
- Smooth and Quiet: The C6’s belt drive system is smooth and quiet.
- Sturdy and durable: The C6 is built with high quality materials. It was definitely designed to be durable and reliable.
- Affordable: Compared to other high-end bikes, it actually costs less.
Cons:
- Limited Programs: The Bowflex C6 Bike doesn’t have any built-in fitness programs or coaching. This means that users have to rely on another program or their own knowledge to have a proper workout
- Small Display Screen: The screen on this bike is small. It only displays basic info such as your speed.
Final Verdict
Okay, time for the final verdict. The Bowflex C6 Bike is an excellent bike for you if you don’t care about screens or any gimmicks. It gets the basics done well. It’s smooth, quiet, durable, and sturdy. However, it’s lacking in several things that come with the VeloCore. It doesn’t have the incredible leaning feature or the screen. It isn’t as comfortable as the VeloCore.
